Project Merrimack
Project Merrimack is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that provides organizational oversight, supports the nonprofit’s mission, and helps guide its programs and long-term development.
President / Executive Director
Ken is the founder and CEO of The Merrimack Company, Lowell General Store, and Project Merrimack. With a professional background at companies including Tesla and Apple, he brings experience in innovation, business development, and community-focused entrepreneurship. Ken is passionate about environmental justice, civic engagement, and revitalizing the Merrimack River as a shared public resource.
Board Member
Emily is a seasoned nonprofit leader currently serving as a director at a community health organization in Boston. Her expertise spans program development, public health advocacy, and equity-centered service delivery. She brings a systems-thinking approach and deep knowledge of nonprofit operations to the board.

Katie is a plant operator at a wastewater treatment facility in Lowell, where she plays a critical role in the city’s water-management infrastructure. She provides technical insight into combined sewer overflow systems and advocates for clean water, local environmental health, and public education around water-quality issues.

Nicholas is a computer instructor and active community volunteer based in Lowell. He serves on several local nonprofit boards and is known for his grassroots advocacy, digital-skills training, and efforts to connect underserved communities with educational and environmental opportunities.

David is the co-founder of Project Merrimack and founder of The Haverhill Eye, a community-driven media platform. With a strong commitment to civic engagement and storytelling, David helps guide the organization’s mission through a focus on transparency, inclusion, and creative communication.

Morgan is a Principal Cloud Technologist at Amazon Web Services and the lead developer behind Project Merrimack’s public alert system and website. Her expertise in data systems, cloud architecture, and user experience supports the technical foundation of the organization’s public-safety tools and community-engagement platform.
